Biography
Matthew Esch was born and raised in Katy, Texas and received his high school diploma from Cinco Ranch High School. After completing high school, Matthew played division one baseball as a collegiate athlete and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Matthew graduated from South Texas College of Law-Houston.
In law school, Matthew learned how to aggressively advocate for his clients while he participated in South Texas’ highly awarded and nationally renowned advocacy program. He competed in tournaments around the country on varsity Mock Trial teams and gained experience in law school by working for multiple litigation firms.
After law school, Matthew worked at a big litigation law firm in Houston, Texas. While working in Houston, Mr. Esch obtained successful jury verdicts in Harris, Galveston, and Montgomery County. Further, he was able to secure a $20,000,000.00+ settlement for a single client in a case involving an intoxicated driver working for a large corporation. In 2024, Mr. Esch was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Million Dollar Advocate Forum, and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Also, Matthew is a member and participant in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and American Association for Justice.
At Esch Law Firm, Matthew’s practice focuses primarily on matters involving catastrophic personal injury, maritime and offshore cases, premises liability, car accidents, 18-wheeler accidents, insurance claims, and wrongful death. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and his dog Remi, playing golf, watching baseball, football, and participating in local charity events around The Woodlands, Texas.
